At MarkitUP Tuition, the focus is on supporting children to achieve academic success. Nhi Chang, Managing Director and Founder of the organisation, has been tutoring students for over a decade and is a dedicated mathematics tutor.
Nhi started MarkitUP in 2015 at Carnes Hill Community Centre but quickly outgrew the location. Within two years the business relocated to Len Waters Estate and has now expanded further to open a second centre in Liverpool.
Nhi talks about her business and how the partnership with Alliance Accounting helped her navigate some of the challenges during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tutoring for all ages
MarkitUP provides a wide range of tutoring services for children of all ages. They offer group and private tuition for students from Kindergarten all the way through to Year 12, with specialist programs for specific subject or class preparation, skills revision and even school holiday sessions.
They complete thorough assessments prior to making recommendations and are committed to discovering the most effective strategies to help children reach their full potential. Nhi says:
“We specialise in providing tutoring for students in Kindy to Year 12 in mathematics and English. We also have specialised programs for NAPLAN, OC, Selective and the HSC.”
Short on time
There’s no doubt that MarkitUP is a popular service provider, having grown significantly over the last six years. And for Nhi it is hard to give the necessary time to the accounting side of the business. But outsourcing certain responsibilities has given her more flexibility and allows her to continue pushing the business forward.
“Our great challenge is time! There is simply not enough time to do everything and there is just so much to learn. To overcome this, I have now expanded our administration team and outsourced other work that I had to previously take care of. This has now freed up my time so I can focus on the business better.”
